Next Tuesday’s August Primary Election: What You Need to Know
Wisconsin’s partisan primary election is this Tuesday, August 11. Early voting has already begun! Because early voting dates, hours and locations vary by municipality, visit your municipal clerk’s website for information specific to your community. Already have an absentee ballot at home? Return it as soon as possible to help ensure it arrives in time to be counted. Remember, the election is Tuesday, August 11.

What’s on my ballot?
Visit MyVote.WI.gov to view your sample ballot. Several candidates have ended their campaigns since ballots were finalized, which means their names will still appear. A lot has changed, so make sure to do your research before casting your ballot.
I already voted for a candidate who dropped out. Can I vote again?
Unfortunately, no. Once you cast your ballot, you cannot change or redo your vote. If you have not voted yet, take a little time to review the latest information about the candidates before heading to the polls.
What do I need to vote?
Bring a photo ID when voting in person. Not registered yet? You can register at your polling place. Be sure to bring a valid proof-of-residence document showing your current name and address. Visit MyVote.WI.gov to check your registration, find your polling place, view your sample ballot, and learn more about voting.
Which candidates have been endorsed by the Democratic Party of Columbia County?
The Democratic Party of Columbia County does NOT endorse candidates in Democratic primaries. We encourage everyone to research the candidates and make their own informed decision. After the primary, we will share our complete slate of Democratic candidates for November. No matter whom you support on August 11, our mission remains the same: defeat Tom Tiffany and elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November!
