Join us for Susie the Duck Day Event This Saturday, August 8
You are invited to join the Democratic Party of Columbia County in one oftLodi’s favorite hometown traditions on Saturday, August 8--marching in the Susie the Duck Day parade in downtown Lodi.
Participants should line up at 9:00 a.m. on Bellin Street, with the parade stepping off at 10:00 a.m. This year the community gathers for the 43rd annual Susie the Duck Day, this year themed “Stars. Stripes. And SUSIE!” in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
Susie the Duck Day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features a full day of family-friendly activities, including the Lodi Rotary parade along Main Street, food trucks, a beer garden, kids zones, live entertainment, Susie’s Swag Shop, and the Duck Derby beginning after the parade at about 1:00 p.m. The festival honors Lodi’s famous mallard mascot, Susie, whose story began in 1948 when a duck nested in Spring Creek downtown and became a symbol of the community’s warmth and whimsy. Supporters are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, bring friends and family, and help make a strong, visible showing at this uniquely Lodi celebration.

Schedule of Events
9:00 AM: Festival activities, food and beer gardens, and Susie Swag Shop open downtown (centered around Spring Street, Main Street, and Veteran's Park) [1, 2]
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Live music from the Atomic Blonde Band at Spring and Sodders Streets, alongside family games, activities, and the Duck Derby [1, 2, 3]
