Change starts close to home.

Neighborhood Action Teams bring Democrats and like-minded neighbors together to make a difference right in their own communities. These small, local teams help us build relationships, stay connected with voters year-round, support candidates who share our values, and make sure the voices and concerns of people across Columbia County are heard.

Action teams are about more than elections. They foster civic engagement and create a year-round presence in our communities—giving people a way to meet neighbors, talk about issues that matter locally, welcome new volunteers, and take action together.

Depending on the community and the time of year, team members might:

• Host informal conversations among neighbors or with candidates

• Host events that foster a sense of community

• Share information about issues affecting their community

• Bring local concerns and ideas back to the Democratic Party of Columbia County

• Talk with neighbors through canvassing, phone calls, postcards, or personal outreach

• Help get out the vote during elections

• Support Democratic candidates and local campaigns

You don't need political experience to participate. Whether you have a few hours occasionally or want to take on a larger role, there's a place for you. Action teams are also a great way to meet people in your area who share your desire to strengthen our communities and our democracy.
